Prague, Czech Republic
Zed Shaw will be giving a keynote at EuroDjangoCon '09. He's known for writing Mongrel (amongst many other things - vellum, idiopidae etc) and also his rather interesting smack down on the Rails community: http://www.zedshaw.com/rants/rails_is_a_ghetto.html.
Zed will be joining Blaine Cook (Osmosoft), Joe Stump, Leah Culver and Jacob Kaplan-Moss on our list of invited speakers/keynotes for EuroDjangoCon '09.
The next blog post at some point this weekend will reveal talks that have been accepted so far for EuroDjangoCon '09. It looks set to be an awesome event, or er..."full of awesome" as some might say!

Is there going to be any recording of the conference. I will not be able to attend, but I would love to see how it went on.

"smack down"? How about meltdown. Zed's awesome, though. I think he'll be a hoot, and I with I could see it.

Emil: Yes, we'll be recording the conference and making the videos available as soon as we can afterwards.
Aron: He is indeed awesome.

Hey folks, can't wait to come and captivate you with my keynote. It'll be sort of a follow-up to the story I told in my CUSEC 2008 presentation.
I've recently pulled the "Rails Is A Ghetto" rant off my site. You'll get a 404 on the link mentioned above. Just seemed it was time to move on.
Enjoy! Feel free to email me with comments.

I am not very sure I welcome one of the most (there are far too many) caustic persons (formerly) associated with Rails to our dear little web framework ecosystem. We have so far been very happy without big egos and I think there is no need to start with them now.
